Michi

Michi joined the family in April of 2004, I adopted her from a friend who was having problems getting her to adjust to their home. At that time, we had a very old chihuahua mix named Sam who'd been suffering with typical Old Age health issues. He and Cheyenne were very bonded to one another, and we worried terribly about what would happen when his time came. Within a week of the first discussion of adopting another dog, I found out Michi needed a new home.

She adapted well to her new home, Cheyenne loved her from the start and she was very good with Sam. Michi had been raised with ferrets, and seemed to find her comfort in playing with them more so than the other dogs. The ferrets all loved her, and she took a lot of abuse in the name of being roughhoused with. Sam passed away December 2004, and I think Michi is the only thing that kept Cheyenne here with us.

Michi is completely neurotic, but we all love her just the way she is.
